The highly underpromoted Tell the World My Name ( Atlantic really dropped the ball). Me and my brothers prayed to the rap gods that K-Solo would release an album in our lifetime. The guest rapper I’m talking about, of course, is K-Solo. With one of the illest flows up until that moment and since, this guest rapper then tears into his spelling flow. He let’s you know straight away that his “style’s aggressive like a pitbull terrior.” And it is. On the 1972 Joe Cocker sample that was later made famous by Tupac’s loving up on California track, Erick Sermon and PMD set up their special guest who all out bodies the track. Back to my Senior year in High School, and EPMD’s sophomore album, Unfinished Business, side two, tenth track, “Knick Knack Patty Wack.” But to paint an even more clear picture, we have to go back even further. Back to EPMD’s third album, Business as Usual, one of the only rap albums that I rocked in those House & Rockers heavy days. B efore we get to Muddy Waters, we have to take you back.
